Your body takes in and processes information from your eyes, ears and joints to establish coordination, balance and equilibrium. If there is a problem in any of these areas, it may send incorrect information to the brain and you may experience a disturbance that results in disequilibrium - dizziness or vertigo.

Dizziness is a common and generic complain and often treatable with chiropractic manipulation. The term 'Dizziness' can mean several things:

  • Lightheadedness: the feeling of being faint
  • Disequalibrium: the feeling of being off balance
  • Presyncope: lightheadedness, faintness, or wooziness - the feeling that you might get if you stand up too quickly
  • Vertigo: an abnormal sensation of movement in which you feel like the world is "spinning"

Studies show that the cervical spine plays a strong role in your body's regulation of equilibrium. Vertigo can be related to either cervical spine problems or problems with the inner ear. Both of these situations are extremely responsive to chiropractic treatment, and at Cincinnati Rehabilitation Center, we can help you improve and alleviate these kinds of problems.
